It’s BINI’s world and we’re all just living in it.
The Philippines is BLOOMing, literally, and Google has the data that proves it.
Three years after their debut, the hard work of the Nation’s Girl Group, BINI, is finally reaping what they sow. The huge craze can literally be felt as they dominate the charts left and right. Just this June, they reached a new peak as they were the most searched artist by Filipinos taking over international stars Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter on YouTube, based on the date gathered by Google Trends.
We can say we are a BLOOM nation already because BINI being a search term capped off impressive ranking by being the highest searched in Calabarzon, Bicol, MIMAROPA, and Central Luzon regions, with impressive score of 80 in overall search interest. Metro Manila came in at fifth place with a search interest percentage of 78.
As a search term, BINI dominated YouTube in the Philippines the entire month, ranking highest in the Calabarzon, Bicol, MIMAROPA, and Central Luzon regions, scoring around 80 in overall search interest. Metro Manila came in at fifth place with a search interest percentage of 78.
BINI gained global popularity, being searched more on YouTube than Sabrina Carpenter and Beyonce for most of the month. They were especially popular in the United Arab Emirates, which has around 700,000 Filipinos, with more than half living in Dubai.
The “interest over time” percentage shows how dominant a search term is compared to others at a specific time and place. This means “BINI” was the top search term in those areas. This trend reflects the success of their recent singles “Pantropiko” and “Salamin Salamin,” which became major hits over the summer. These songs marked BINI’s breakout moment, catapulting them to superstardom three years after their debut.
