Rising star Geraldine Jennings is about to make her mark with the release of her debut single ‘If I Will Ever Love Again’ under Star Music.
The track, composed by Ogie Alcasid, dives into the emotional turmoil of navigating a difficult breakup and the hopeful contemplation of finding the strength to embrace love once more.
Geraldine shared her initial reaction to hearing the song for the first time and expressed her excitement about releasing her debut single under Star Music.
“It’s about loving someone and the feeling of heartbreak which I’m sure a lot of people have experienced. But I wanted to add a sense of empowerment towards the end of the song that you will be able to love again,” the new Kapamilya artist said.
“I’m very grateful and excited to be part of Star Music. It is a very reputable company, so to be able to be part of it for my first ever single is a dream come true,” she added.
Geraldine’s music video for “If I Will Ever Love Again” was released on September 20th, featuring her alongside Filipino-German model Kirk Bondad.
At a young age, the budding singer-actress loved watching live performances of various artists. Her passion for music led her to venture into musical theater singing classes.
“As a child, I loved watching performances, concerts, and films on television. From then on, I knew I wanted to also be performing on stage in front of people,” she shared.
Taking inspiration from Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa, and Katy Perry, her remarkable talent shone through in “Teenstar UK,” where she became the youngest finalist. She also won the Future Music Development Award at the Open Mic 2020 competition at the O2 Arena in London.
