My interest in PPOP began a few years ago when I collaborated with influential artists shaping the genre. As the artist manager for PPOP groups 1STONE and DIONE, I saw the unwavering dedication, passion, and creativity that they put into their music and performances. This firsthand experience provided me with honor and insight into the artists’ profound influence on the evolution of the genre. Working closely with such exceptional talent has deepened my appreciation for PPOP’s dynamic growth, emphasizing its distinct blend of cultural influences and artistic innovation. The journey with 1STONE and DIONE has not only expanded my professional knowledge but also created a personal connection to the vibrant and evolving world of PPOP.
SB19, as PPOP pioneers, were instrumental in bringing the genre to its current prominence. Their dynamic performances, punctuated by contagious energy and synchronized dance routines, have set new standards for PPOP artists. Beyond the Philippines, SB19’s influence has spread around the world, captivating millions and contributing to PPOP’s international recognition. Their unwavering commitment to their craft has not only won over fans, but has also paved the way for a new wave of PPOP groups, influencing the genre’s future landscape. Participating in a recent photoshoot was a wonderful experience, bringing together the leaders shaping the new era of PPOP groups. The ensemble included Niko from Yes My Love, Wiji from 6ENSE, Gab from Ver5us, Kali from HYV, and Lex as the leader of ECLIPSE. This gathering of talent highlighted the PPOP scene’s diverse range, with each leader embodying the genre’s ever-changing nature. The combination of their distinct styles and creative energies highlighted the diversity that defines contemporary PPOP, demonstrating its ongoing evolution. This collective portrait not only captured a moment in time, but also highlighted the collaborative spirit of these leaders, indicating a promising future for PPOP as it continues to captivate audiences with its multifaceted and dynamic expressions.
