Olivia Rodrigo is everyone’s Pinsan. With her love for Filipino food and karaoke, she’s got that Pinsan vibe on lock. Holding a 55,000 sold-out stadium last October 5 at the Philippine Arena, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo showed just how much she’s embraced her roots in the Philippines.
The 21-year-old Filipina-American performed at a sold-out show and she’s made sure her visit hits differently. She lit up the stage like it was a Barkada reunion and all the proceeds from the concert went to ‘Fund 4 Good,’ supporting Jhpiego, a women’s organization in the Philippines that her charity teamed up with.
1. Boodle-d with Spices
That’s probably the most spice Olivia’s had in her life! Can you imagine her going full kain mode and eating with her bare hands? That’s next-level Filipino-coded! Just picture her chowing down on liempo, tomatoes, salted eggs, and veggies on the side, all swimming in soy sauce with onions and vinegar. If she gets into it, she might just unleash a new song called “Bare Hands and Heartbreak”—and we’d all be crying into our rice.

3. Sash Factor, Pinsan Realness!
She showed off her Pinay pride during the Manila leg of her “Guts” world tour. With a sash referencing her song, she embraced her roots and made the night even more special. Moments like this remind us why we love her— a pop star, who’s also a proud Filipina connecting with her fans in such a Pinsan way.
4. Proud Pinoy Moment
“I can’t tell you how special tonight is. I’m so, so thankful you’re here. Salamat po!” Olivia exclaimed, practically screaming her lungs out to express her pride. Rocking a shirt that showcased her love for the moment, it was clear just how much it meant to her to be surrounded by fellow Filipinos.

5. Bayanihan 4 Good
All the proceeds from the sold-out concert at the 55,000-seat arena, which saw record-breaking ticket sales in just five minutes, will go to the ‘Fund 4 Good’ initiative. This effort embodies the Bayanihan spirit, supporting Jhpiego Philippines—an organization dedicated to championing girls’ education, promoting reproductive rights, and preventing gender-based violence.
